RUMIX Machining & Fabrication Inc. ("RUMIX", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.rumix.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. We only collect information you choose to give us, mainly when you send a quote request or contact us:

• Project details and any files you attach (for example drawings, CAD or PDF files)

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) in server logs for security and troubleshooting. This website does not use advertising cookies. We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and how visitors found us). Your drawings and project files

We treat drawings, designs and technical documents you send us as confidential. They are used only to quote and complete your work and are shared only with staff or trusted suppliers who need them for that purpose. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement on request.

Sharing with service providers

We use a small number of service providers to operate this website and our business, such as our web hosting and email providers. Some pages also load fonts, maps and images from third-party services (Google Fonts, OpenStreetMap and Unsplash), which may receive your IP address as part of normal web browsing. These providers may process information outside Canada and are subject to the laws of those countries. We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required for legal, accounting and tax reasons. After that it is securely deleted or destroyed.

How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection for this website and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so for highly sensitive files you may prefer to contact us about a secure transfer method.
